AUGÉ 5-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

Every Augé Horological Compass is covered by a five-year limited commercial warranty from the date of original purchase.

Coverage

Augé warrants the timepiece against defects in materials, manufacturing and assembly that affect its normal functioning under normal conditions of use.

Where a defect covered by this warranty is confirmed by Augé, Augé may, at its discretion, repair the timepiece, replace the defective component, or replace the timepiece with the same or an equivalent model.

Warranty identification

No product registration is required.

The warranty is identified by the original invoice number, which constitutes the reference for the timepiece and determines the starting date of the five-year warranty period.

The original proof of purchase must be provided for any warranty claim.

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

Exclusions

The Augé 5-Year Limited Warranty does not cover:

  • normal wear, ageing, scratches, dents, marks or other cosmetic deterioration;
  • straps and their natural deterioration through use;
  • broken, chipped or scratched sapphire crystal;
  • deterioration or alteration of colour, finish or surface appearance;
  • damage caused by impact, fall, accident, improper use, negligence or improper storage;
  • damage resulting from contact with chemicals, solvents, cosmetics or other aggressive substances;
  • water damage or the maintenance of the stated water-resistance performance over time;
  • the accuracy or calibration of the compass;
  • the rotation, wear or mechanical behaviour of the bezel;
  • damage caused by magnetism or environmental conditions affecting compass operation;
  • damage resulting from servicing, opening, modification or repair performed by a third party not authorised by Augé;
  • loss, theft or accidental destruction of the timepiece.

A complete failure of a component resulting from a proven manufacturing, material or assembly defect may nevertheless be covered where Augé determines that the failure falls within the scope of this warranty.

Warranty procedure

Before returning a timepiece, the owner must contact Augé and provide:

the invoice number, proof of purchase, a description of the issue and, where appropriate, photographs or videos allowing Augé to assess the claim.

No timepiece should be sent to Augé without prior confirmation.

Shipping

For claims made under this commercial warranty, shipping, insurance, customs duties and any other transportation costs to and from Augé are borne by the owner.

The timepiece remains under the owner's responsibility during transportation. Augé therefore recommends using an insured and traceable shipping service.

These conditions do not apply where mandatory consumer law requires Augé to bear or reimburse such costs.

Duration

The warranty begins on the date shown on the original purchase invoice and expires five years later.

A repair or replacement performed under this commercial warranty does not restart the original five-year warranty period, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.

Statutory rights

This commercial warranty is provided in addition to, and does not replace or restrict, any mandatory statutory rights available to the purchaser, including applicable legal guarantees of conformity and against hidden defects.

For consumers purchasing from a professional seller in France, statutory consumer guarantees remain applicable independently of this commercial warranty.
